The
Madness of a Seduced Woman
Simon and Schuster has just relaunched The Madness of a Seduced Woman
in England. The cover is almost the same as the British cover used twenty-five
years ago and it is strange to see it materializing again. Madness
is a book of the week for WH Smith and is also being featured by Waterstones.
It is available through amazon.co.uk When it was originally published, Madness
was a best seller in the U.S., Great Britain, Sweden and France.
Order
it now from amazon.co.uk. ~Susan |

Poison (2006)
"The death of flamboyant writer and womanizer Peter Grosvenor sets in motion
a series of spiraling events surrounding his legacy and his estate. His bitter
third wife, his two children, his sister, his friends, and his would-be
biographers are drawn into a maelstrom of intense memories and painful encounters
as each of the major players in Peter's life seeks to appropriate Peter's
estate for his or her own purposes. As a complex story of passion, jealousy,
and loss unfolds, the figures that had once blossomed in Peter's presence
spin off into their own orbits and turn against one another without the anchor
of his charismatic presence. Ultimately, the tragedy and scandal that marred
his life cannot be ended even by his death. Susan Fromberg Schaeffer writes
with exquisite flavor and measure; character, history, and relationships
build into a large, minutely detailed canvas and remind us why she is a master
of the epic novel."

The
Autobiography of Foudini M. Cat |

cover of the Dutch
edition |
|
|
| Grace the Cat is not at
all like me, as she is forever bent on mischief. But because I am an older
and wiser cat, she looks to me for counsel, and so I have allowed Grace to
prevail upon me to set down the story of my life as a housecat in the
human world.... |

"A wonderful story...Endowed with much love, wisdom and joy...This is one
of those delightful books that one treasures, one gives to loved ones, and
one reads to children and friends...Warm, witty, endearing."

"Charming and witty, Foudini
tells his story with dazzling feline flair. He would make an excellent travelling
companion."
NORTON, The Cat Who Went to Paris
As the irrepressible Foudini M. Cat regales
us with his adventures, an exciting story unfolds. After his valiant but
frail mother leaves him in search for food and never returns, the starving
kitten is taken to a frightening room with cages and men in white coats.
Facing the specter of eternal sleep, the homeless cat is adopted by a woman
he later calls "Warm."
"Delightful...Foudini's story is
poignant....Schaeffer's book charms with its richly imagined details....A
surprising change of pace."
