Has it ever seemed to you that your dog and cat would have a lot to say if only they could speak? Well, this is precisely what happens to the Hood family, with unexpected consequences. Mr. and Mrs. Hood have decided to move their family from Brooklyn to the country, which makes young Steven and June very hapy, for now they can have a pet. Or rather pets, for in the country they soon find a puppy, and then a kitten named Foudini. The puppy grows, and grows and grows, until he is the largest dog anybody has ever seen, and so they name him Great Dog. Steven and June are delighted when they discover that Great Dog and Foudini can not only talk, but also come from worlds of their own. One of the many things Great Dog and Foudini want to do is return to their own worlds for a visit home, and when they decide to take Steven and June along, the adventures begin. A must for Schaeffer fans who have already fallen in love with Foudini M. Cat, who makes his first appearance here.
