WEDDING RING POEM

If you wake up
And go about all day
And find your wedding ring

And engagement ring
Asleep in the sleeps,
Is it a sign?

If you brush your hair
And small swallows fly out,
Is it a sign?

If you sleep on your back
And find a tiny glass deer
In your belly button,

Curled up;
If your bones turn to gold;
If your lashes

Cover radioactive eyes,
If a nail breaks and splits,
And a tiny thorn

Grows in its place;
If you learn to fly in the dark,
If you wake up

With a green tongue
Speaking Abyssinian and Greek,
If a hummingbird follows you home;

If the moon gets stuck in your tree;
If over your house
There are only red suns,

Is it a sign?
Is it enough?
Is it ever enough?
